Blog Exchange Experiment: Week 3
Yet again, the blog is without BE visitors for the next two days, as I've surpassed 7500 BE hits. To make things a little easier for those with interest in experiment results, the PDF file is now accessable via the sidebar.
Again, no big change this week - though I have been pleased by the slow but steady increase in other blogs linking to me.

I know we mentioned this before, but Darren from Problogger actually asked a few days ago for links about traffic tips.
You should definitely email him with this, or comment.
This is interesting Cavan. I'm still watching from the sidelines.
I notice everything but the links seems to have actually gone down, (or am I reading it wrong?) but as links are where the action is, it's all good.
I have to wonder though, if those new links would have happened without BE.
And I second melly's suggestion, you should tell Darren, if for no other reason than the volume of traffic that visits Problogger.
I'm watching your experiment with interest - I finally decided tonight that I should drop the dull clicking on BlogExplosion as the visitors are not sticky at all - barely one in a hundred register any time at all, whereas visitors I get from people pressing the "Next Blog" button on Blogger at least read the front page and sometimes even follow a link or two.
I think a gimmick is good - your BE experiment, the Lynchburg Times (IIRC; found them through BE too) take the Technorati top ten and write a silly piece about each entry, and my current story, a crass attempt to get lots of hits from people searching for pr0n. Heh, as I type this, I see your top entry is following the same game plan!
