So actually, so far the experiment didn't increase your daily traffic when you pause your blog, right?
I think this experiment is something many people would be interested in and you should post it in a high profile blog like problogger or something.

melly - nope, no real change as of yet, much as I expected. I'll definitely try to get in touch with problogger or someone like that when the experiment is over and all the results are in.
